Hello! Here is the latest list of new features and enhancements for your FlowerManager site. Many of these features work together to give you added flexibility in how you can use your site.

Manual Contacts Groups

You can now create groups in Manual Contacts. This will allow you to place individual submissions or import lists into various groups rather than everything just being put in the Manual Contacts. You can also send emails to one or more individual Groups now instead of the entire Manual Contacts list.

Teleflora RTI Direct Integration

The new interface has direct access to more fields and allows us to send orders that require much less cleanup, allowing you to enter through the order without having to retype the card message or addresses. It also hits your RTI system immediately without having to be processed through the Dove system. If for some reason your server is unavailable at the time of the order the site will automatically fall back to sending the order through Dove giving us a backup pipeline for sending the order. Big thanks to Chad Freytag and Walter Knoll for being beta testers. They have both said this new process makes it so much faster and easier to process orders that they were able to move some people from processing the orders to doing other tasks during the busy holiday.

If you are interested in using the new interface, and we suggest that everyone with RTI should be interested, please get your Firewall and FTP users setup (see below for more info) and then let me know you want to get setup. You will need to send me the IP address for your server and the FTP Username and Password so that we can verify connectivity from our servers. Then we’ll let you know once we have everything setup and you have the new option of “RTI Direct FTP” for Order Export Type in your admin. The you will need to go in and change over to that once you have RTI setup the way you want.

FlowerManager Updates: iPad Updates, Rush Delivery Blockout, Occasion Tweaks, Upsell Variation Images

iPad Updates

We made a few updates to accommodate changes to mobile safari on the iPad. The drop down navigation functions better and allows you to access the drop downs and still click the main navigation item as well. The tooltips on the Delivery Date calendar were interfering with selecting the date, requiring the user to touch once to see the tooltip with delivery charges and then again to choose that date before being allowed to continue. This was causing users to think they were stuck and could not continue past this screen. I removed the tooltip on the iPad so touching the date just selects it now. I also removed the “hover card” from the products. Before when touching the product it would start to show the hover card as it was navigating to the product, now it just takes you to the product a bit faster.

Teleflora’s RTI Direct Integration Fee

In case you have not already seen this update from Art about the RTI Direct FTP Integration discussion with Teleflora. It looks like the new interface will cost you $49.95/month to Teleflora for support, there is no additional charge from GravityFree. If you are interested in getting this Direct FTP to RTI setup for your website please contact Teleflora. Chad and Walter have said that the new interface saved them a huge amount of work over the Valentines Day holiday, to the point they were able to repurpose people from processing orders to other duties. Teleflora should now have the information necessary and should be aware of the monthly charge associated with the interface. They should also be able to assist you in getting your firewall setup (I will post the information again below) for us to access your system, and setup the FTP user with access to the necessary location for us to upload orders. Once they have set everything up you can contact Kelli with the connection information (IP Address and FTP Username / Password) and we’ll schedule time to verify the FTP connection and setup your FlowerManager with the new export option.

Affiliates Program Overview

I’ve created a new video on the “Affiliates’ tool to help everyone get a better understanding of how that system works so you can make the most of it. It’s a powerful tool, but you’ll need to make a plan to get affiliates and do some setup to make the most of it. If you would like us to make graphics and banners for you please get in touch with Kelli and we’ll get it planned.

I’m attaching a direct link to the video but it, as well as all the others, are available from the “External Links” section of your admin. Just expand that section and you’ll see a link to the training videos.
