FlowerManager Wedding/Event Site Announcement & Training Videos

The Event/Wedding site is live for everyone who currently has weddings enabled on their site. You’ll find the Wedding section of the admin has been updated and your wedding links now launch a new tab with the new site. I’ve included some videos below to show you how everything works. We’re using the content from your current wedding site so there is nothing you have to do. Even though you can manage it, take a few days to get used to it and make a solid plan before you change the site too much… it’s pretty nice as is. ;^)

We have:

  • Provided training videos
  • Imported your “Weddings” copy for the Homepage and the About page
  • Imported Links into Resources
  • We added two documents (Wedding Checklist and Wedding Trivia) to your Resources
  • We’re using your current Photo Galleries on the site. You have the ability to set up new galleries with full-screen images. When ready just switch to the new gallery.
  • We have fully licensed the included images for use only on these sites and as used. They are not licensed for email, ecards, print or any other use. Any images you upload are your liability so please make sure you have appropriate licenses.
  • Updated the video library in the FlowerManager Admin
  • We are now doing image sizing and optimization on all images in FlowerManager and the Wedding/Event site including new and existing files.

You should:

  • Watch the videos
  • Add your Facebook URL
  • Add your Blog URL
  • Update SEO Page Titles and SEO Descriptions – DO NOT add SEO URLS yet. They CAN NOT be easily changed and you should make a solid plan before jumping in and changing URLs.
  • Activate “Packages” in the content section if you want that section. We set the pages up with default content and the section just needs activated. You should update the content if it’s not correct.
  • Decide if you want to use a separate domain name for your wedding/event site and let us know.
  • Start getting great 1500 pixel wide images for your full-screen galleries. Partner with photographers for credit on your site and a link.
  • Add your e-commerce site and blog to the links section of Resources. Make sure it is sorted to the top.
