Here’s a quick video (link below) to show a few updates we’ve just rolled out to the event/wedding site. We hope you like them and that they make things easier and more useful for you and your visitors.

Thumbnail Gallery View

When you visit a gallery you now land on a thumbnail page first. From there users can click to see the fullscreen images as before. It will not autoplay the slideshow anymore so you can click an image and look at it without it changing images. The previous/next buttons still work and they can choose to play the slideshow if they wish by clicking the play button. These are very familiar controls and users should be able to more easily navigate the gallery. We’ve also removed the top nav when in the galleries and have replaced it with a category header with breadcrumb trail navigation to get back to the gallery view or the thumbnail view of the current gallery.

Wedding Gallery Image Search

We’ve added a search function in the wedding admin so you can more easily find images brides like. You can search by title or caption. You should consider your naming convention to make it easy for brides to identify images and you to search for them.

In the gallery full screen viewer we removed the Google+ share and replaced it with an email share. Now brides can email images they like to themselves or friends. They can also still pin favorites to their Pinterest wall which we highly recommend you train them to do. This is a great way for getting relevant links and creating brand awareness. They can also like them on Facebook. All make great ways for brides to catalog the images they like.
